Vista SP2 64 bit on Toshiba A305
My computer has 4 USB ports, but 6 Intel USB Universal Host Controllers:

There are 7 USB Root Hubs, and
2 unknown Devices Hubs
Port 1 and 2 are on the left, port 3 and 4 are on the right.
When I plug a device into port 1, it powers but that's it. I can't access it at all. For instance if I plug my iphone into it, my iphone makes a sound and has power, but it does not show up in itunes. If I plug another device into it such as a flash drive, it will light the light on the flash drive but nothing else.
Port 2, doesn't do a thing. Nothing at all! Also my built in webcam will not work and I've uninstalled and reinstalled and recovered and no change.
When I plug anything into USB port #0003. hub #0007, and I click safely remove hardware everything works great.
When I plug anything into USB port #0004.hub #0007 and I click safely remove hardware, I get a yellow exclamation and when checking properties it tells me the hardware has not been remove (even though it has) (Code47) And it tells me to plug it back in. I've checked for solutions. No help.
Two of the ports are Enhanced 2.0
It appears port 3 does not recognize when I remove a device. And port 1 will power and port 2 is dead (or seems to be) .
Help please.
