2.5" SATA HDD Compatability

Hi

I have just bought the following as a job lot. They all came without HDD's and RAM and without power chargers. All have screens, MB's keyboards etc etc all that's missing is the HHD & RAM:

HP Pavillions, dv5000, dv6000, dv9000 Hp Touchsmart TM2, Acer Aspire One and Toshiba Satellite L450D.

So my question, can I buy ANY 2.5" SATA HDD to put into the above laptops? I paid £260 for the 6 laptops, is this a bargain????

Its difficult for us not in UK to compare prices the rate of exchange can be very misleading as I found out on my recent trip to Europe. That being said it does look like you got a nice deal. I found out that the current rate of exchange is $1.60. Which equals $410 USD, which is a great buy for the 6 computers that you bought. I understand that you do need ram (which is fairly cheap) and HardDrives, but nonetheless, I think its a good buy. I dont know of any reason that those hard drives would not be suitable. Perhaps, it might be best to wait for a member that has some first hand knowledge concerning those particular models.
