Problems after scandisk

Hello,

I recently ran a scandisk of my hard drive (performed the next time i restarted my comp) and after it finished i logged into my admin account where everything seemed fine for about 15 seconds then the screen goes blank. While it is blank i cannot bring up task manager or anything. I can restart the computer in safe mode and access my admin account however when i right click in safe mode i receive en error about explorer and it restarts. I can also log in normal mode under the guest account with no problems. I am totally confused here is a list of things i have done:

1. Removed video card and reinstalled my old one. (this allows me to access my main account in normal mode)
2. Tried to access the registry shell to see if malware was causing the problem (didn't fix anything)
3. Reinstalled video drivers (didn't fix the problem)
4. Used system restore (didnt fix problem)
5. Booted and selected use last known good settings (didn't fix problem)

I believe my system is listed in my profile but i will list the major components here for convenience:

PCU: Intel Q6600 2.4ghz
Graphics: ATI Radeon EAH 5870 1GB
PSU: Silencer 750W
4 x 2GB RAM (DDR2)
Motherboard: ASUS Formula Rampage
Hard Drive: 500GB generic hardrive

Please help i cannot figure this out.

Thanks

Welcome
The first thing that I would do is try to make a full anti virus scan
Download and make a full scan with malwarebytes
If negative, I would use system restore from before any problems. Go at least 3 days before the problem
System Restore - How to
Are you sure that you went far back enough when you tried?
Open a new User Account, maybe the current one is corrupted.
Take a Hard Drive test.
Test Hard Drive www.carrona.org/hddiag.html or this test Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
Be sure that all your important stuff is backed up. With potential Hard Drive (or any) problem, you do not want to lose your stuff.
