Windows explorer hanging up

Recently I've discovered a trojan virus on my computer, It was derived from the file windowsxxx.exe. I've deleted the virus and fixed the registy with Free Window Registry Repair.
I've scanned my computer with avg malwarebytes etc. But nothing has been found since i deleted the virus with avg and the problem persists. Interestingly, though, when I log into my guest account windows explorer works fine. I know this may be an indicator of a corrupt profile.

Also when I look at explorer in the task manager its cpu is running very high between 80 and 99

Help.

If you are sure the virus is gone
Use system restore to go back to times before the virus.

You may have to create a new user account if the above does not work. You can transfer your stuff to the new account.

Try with clean boot to see if problem is solved and the cpu problem
