Installing Vista to Bypass Restrictions

Hello all,

I recently was given a netbook as a gift. This netbook was used for display purposes and so has certain restrictions placed on it which I cannot seem to get rid of (for example, it will not allow me to change the date/time settings). The netbook currently runs on Windows 7 Starter Edition.

I was wondering if installing Vista via disc will rid me of these restrictions and allow me to create a new administrator account.

See if this administrator can do it for you
Dont give up, many had trouble getting the adminstrator to appear. It is there, just keeep trying.

You should be able to create a regualar administrator account, even with restrictions

I would find out where the computer was bought and find out from them how to make changes. Dont fool around with a new computer. You may lose the warranty.
