write protect on SD card

I get a write protected window when I try to add pictures onto a new 2gb sd card. I have tried 3 different crds, same deal, the switch on the crds are not on lock. The cards will work in my camera and if I flip the switch they the camera will say the card is write protected so as far as I can figure, it's not the cards.
Any help?

The only thing that I can think of, is that it is a permissions issue. I think that we should be sure that you have all the correct permissions so that we can rule out that possibility.

try copying them to a USB, and copy the USB to the card on another computer?

    iunno.
Since this is supposed to be for a Christmas gift..a digital frame ,,I am copying the pics to a cd to load them onto another computer. I've spent untold hours on this supposedly simple process. Very annoying to say the least
