Hello Everyone, I am having problems with booting my computer. While cleaning up my hardrive I somehow compressed some files on my hard drive. Ever since when I try to start my computer I get no further than the compaq load screen and then the message, "Vstaldr is Compressed, ctrl + alt +del to restart. I have been working to fix this problem for 2 days and nothing so far has worked. I booted computer from disk with a new vista disk and got into the recovery manager. I have run startup repair several time, and done a complete system restore both to no avail. When I ran the start up repair I got a message somewhere along the lines od, "Start up Repair cannot repair this comoputer automatically" along with this diagnostic report

I'm pretty sure I could preform a clean install of Vista and recover the computer, but I really need to salvage the files I have saved on this hardrive. Thanks in advance to any advice or help given.
