I recently started a thread telling that I was trying to install Vista on my notebook hard drive through my desktop.
You see, I wouldn't install Vista using the notebook because it wouldn't boot from the Vista DVD, neither would it from XP CD or the Live OS that I tried. That was very inconcenient. It would always give the NTLDR is missing, presse CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart.
So I thought that in order to bypass this problem, I could try installing Vista on it from my desktop. So as you can see in my thread, my desktop ended up having problems as well.
So now I put the hard drive back in the notebook and tried to start, to see if Vista was installed. It didn't go, the problem was almost the same, instead of NTLDR, now it's BootMGR.
I've searched a bit on google and most of the pages tell me to insert Vista DVD and try System Recovery.. But nothing happens when I press the system recovery key, it will completely ignore my command. And it also completely ignores to boot from a CD/DVD, even if I organize BIOS so that the Optical Drive is first in the Boot Order.
Any ideas?
