My DVD-R will not play in my DVD player

Hello

I burnt a video to a disc but it does not work on my DVD player. This may be because of my computer automaticly logging off at 9:00pm while the disc was still burning. Becaus of this, there is a strange green bar at the bottom of the video when it is playing on the menu:

But when watching the movie it's fine. But it will not play in my DVD player.

Besides this issue, I have two questions.

First question, does the automatic logoff by Parental Control interrupt a burning process?

Second question, how do I erase the disc so I can start again? I read that they are burned forever but I also saw posts where it can also erase. I want to erase the disc, otherwise it's a waste of DVD-R's and I'll have to start a completely new one.

Thank you for everything you've done for me in the past years. I'm sorry that games require much more than you're capable of, but you'll never be forgotten as my first personal computer <3
First of all could you give me a Name of the Program you are using and also It may be possible that the Burning Process may Be Interrupted but it shouldn't have if you were using Windows DVD Maker when Parental Controls Time Limits have been Reached it will Lock the User until you are allowed keeping all your Open Programs

Now IF You shutdown Your Computer afterwards during the Process because your User Was Locked then the burning would have been Interrupted

Also DVD -R Stands for DVD- Recordable

It can only be Recorded once you can delete Data of off it like a USB Flash Drive but the Space will not have been Recovered so a New DVD Is Required to Burn the DVD Again

Hope This Helps,
Josh

Yes Im using Windows DVD Maker.

If I delete the data off it, I can burn it again, right? And then it will work in my DVD player, will it?

If it is a DVD-R Then Know you can delete it but there will be No Space to burn it again

on a DVD-R You can only Record Once after the Memory Space is used up it is empty

For Example - an Average DVD is 5GB

If I put on 5GB of Data (Pictures, Documents etc) I can then Delete that Data but I cannot retrieve the 5GB Worth of Space so the DVD is now a Dud

if you get a DVD-RW Then you can Delete Data and Recover the Space

This is very Hard to explain if still do not understand then Please Say

Hope This Helps,
Josh
