I had a series of issues and had to reinstall Vista. Required taking PC apart and removing HDDs C (operation) and D (backup). Long story short I installed Vista onto D (backup) instead of C.
In the process of moving, copying and deletiing files, I found a Backup Set 2010-06-25 which has two subfolders - a Backup File 2010-10-03 (which has 113 compressed folders) and a Catalogs. In the Catalogs folder is a single GlobalCatalog file. The 113 folders areGlobalCatalog file is dated and timestamped sequentially.
When I click on GlobalCatalog it opens Backup Status and Restore, but it says there are no backups available on this computer.
I tried copying the 113 folders onto a different drive but I get the same result with Advanced Restore - no backup files on the drive.
I'd REALLY love to get these files back. Does anyone have any suggestions?
