Calendar Gadget problem

Hello

I have been having a problem with getting the calendar gadget displaying a date. It just shows up as an empty orange box. Clicking on it does nothing. When dragged from the sidebar to the desktop, it remains blank, and an ugly white border surrounds it. It retains the white border while going back to the sidebar. So, my question is how would I be able to get the calendar to display dates again and remove the ugly white border.

I have already performed some steps listed on this thread to no avail:

Might re-try the steps in case I missed something.

Yes I have.

Have you tried running sfc /scannow

Did the sfc /scannow command. Fixed some files but did not fix the problem.
Should I close sidebar and do it?

Try it again System File Checker can only fix 1 File at a time try again and then Restart your Computer

How many times should I run this command? Until it is fixed or a certain number...
