Folder details view setting

Is there a way I can set the folder Details view for Pictures WITHOUT changing the Video details view.
I want the length of my movies but not the length of my pictures and the diamensions of my pictures but not the diamensions of the movies etc.

Pictures and videos are generally uploaded to different folders, so the settings in each of the folders should be independent from the other. But if, for some reason, you have your pictures + videos in the same folder, I think the only way you could do that would be a work-around --- to manually transfer all of your pictures or videos to a separate folder. That way, in each of the folders, by right-clicking on the settings options and selecting 'More' at the bottom of the list, you have several hundred specific options to choose from and select.

Yes I can do that but by default when you change the details view and set it to all folders of a type you get the options of
All Files,
Contacts,
Documents,
Pictures and Video
Music Details
Music Icons
As you can see Microsoft has grouped Pictures with Videos in Vista but fixed it for 7.
I was just asking if someone had a known registry hack to fix this.

I don't know if we're talking about apples and oranges or apples and apples. I'm referring to Vista's Windows Explorer, in which there is a separate folder for Pictures and several separate folders for Videos (i.e. Videos, Public Videos, Downloads, etc.). If, in Windows Explorer, you put your cursor in the column header and right-click you will see a drop down menu. Go to the very bottom of the menu and select "More." Now, a list of additional options opens up -- in fact, there are over one hundred different options to choose from and select. You can set your folder options exactly as you said you wanted.

I know that. But I don't want to reset over 100 folders one at a time like that.
I need to delete a registry key and make two more to replace it.

Agreed, you may not want to reset so many folders, but you may not have any other choice. . . At least this way you do have an alternative, if you choose to use it.

You are still not getting what I want. When you set one folder view you then go to this page and set it to apply to folders. I want to replace the registry key that points to Pictures and Video to two keys, one for each.

Actually, I am getting what you want, it's just that you may not be able to do what you want. I can't tell you how to accomplish that. What I'm trying to do, (until someone who knows a lot more than I do can tell you how to do what you want), is to give you an ALTERNATIVE.
