File space shrinking by the minute

4 gig of ram
AMD Dual core machine
350 gig hard drive

I have about 140 gig free. I can sit and refresh my directory and watch space on the C: drive shrink by the minute. I lose like a gig every minute until it reaches a point that the hard drive is out of space. No spyware (scanned in safemode), no adware, etc. I've got shadow and restore turned off. Can't really explain what is causing the issue. Driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I can reboot the machine. Not start any apps and it continues. I'm about ready to reformat this thing and start from scratch.

Turned out to be an app from PCTools (Registry Mechanic). Was writing an .xml file and tracerpt was also using up a large percentage of my cpu. All fixed. thanks.
