Solved can't set a new desktop background

i want a new picture as my desktop background to replace the old one but when i right click the saved picture and click set as desktop background instead of setting the new background it's just a black screen, i still have my icons and everything but the background itself is just black.

i've tried re downloading the picture and right clicking desktop and going into personalize but it just keeps turning black instead, it's really annoying and my screen just looks dull.



any help would be greatly appreciated

yep it's solved and it was really simple, i completely forgot trying to set the background from the internet i found the picture on google images and clicked set as background and it worked
