serious problem with icon and text

After doing a recovery, the icon on my taskbar become distorted and the text for all my icon and text box become big and ugly. How do i change it?

Secondly now when i click(1 time) on the icon on my taskbar, the programme opens up, normally i need to click it 2 times. Why is this happening? Someone help me thanks.

The taskbar is programmed to start programs with only one click even if you have everything else (your folders, start menu, desktop and basically all other items) configured to use double-clicks. The taskbar cannot be changed to double-click to my knowledge (I have no idea how you had it working with double-click prior to this) - that's the way it is programmed and it is behaving normally if that is happening - you don't have a problem.

If you find you actually prefer this (many people do), you can change the rest of the system to use single clicks instead of double-clicks using the following: Single Click option.

As far as the icon appearance goes, there are several options. If this is only on your desktop, then right click on a blank area of the desktop and click on View and select one of the other icon settings to see if that makes them look more like you prefer - if not, try the other option. If the problem is with the Quick Start icons in the taskbar as well, then right click on the Taskbar and click on Toolbars and uncheck the Quick Start toolbar and click OK to remove it and then repeat the process but this time add it back and this may restore the icons (it's not a guarantee, but it has worked before in similar situations and may help here). If those don't work or only partially work or the problem is more than just the desktop (if it is in Explorer as well), then rebuilding the icon cache as previously suggested is perhaps the most likely way to restore them. I think the second question is already answered.

For first...It might be due to virus in your system. Better run a full scan of your computer
