help error code number 0x80070026

hello ..
I've aproblem ..
my PC system is vista..
I wanna upgrade it into windows 7
I loaded the W7 system ..copyed it onempty harddisk not on DVD becouse it refuse to be written on DVD ..
when I stsrt the formate on PC .. an error window on page telling me (you should have all files you've lost
and this is the error code number
0x80070026
I thought the sources folder isn't complete ..

searched inside forums to have results and I fine this forum hoppin hopping help me

Are you trying to upgrage your Vista system by upgrading or clean install? What version of Vista do you have, Premium, Ultimate, Home basic or Business, 32 or 64 bit? Where did you get your copy of Win 7?
