Windows explorer doesn't respond, Documents fail to load

Hi, I have this problem where I am trying to go into my documents and into a folder that has many files in it. Sadly when it tries to load a box comes up saying that "windows explorer does not respond."
It shuts down, my tool bar disappears and then loads right back up.
I have tried system restore points, still nothing.
A Few times of just shutting down.
Deleted files, re-downloaded files.
It started today for no reason, no files have been downloaded or any programs.

I would love to know what I could do about this. :c
I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

1.Run cmd.exe with elevated previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

sfc /scannow

2.If point 1 not help open event viewer (Start>>Search>>eventvwr.msc) go to Application section find errors relate to explorer.exe and post here full version of error messages.
