cannot connect to DNS server.etc

i'm a complete noob at IT stuffs so pardon me if I sound dumb or whatsoever!

this happened like approx a week ago when suddenly, I couldn't connect to the internet at all even though the connection signal states "Excellent"

I diagnose the problem and it stated either they could not find the DNS server or could not find the host ... something like that you know..

I've searched online but am unable to solve the problem still!

I could, however, access the internet after an hour of trying.. (trying to change the lan settings.etc) but the problem remains everytime i shut down and on it again!

the other computers in my home are able to connect except mine.

i'm using a private network (wireless connection)

ipv4 connectivity: internet
ipv6 connectivity: limited
media state: enabled

when i go to the network connection details:

it states...

ipv4 IP address: 192.168.1.73
ipv4 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
lease obtained: thursday 12 august 4:15PM
lease expired: friday 13 august 4.55pm (What the heck is this?!)

the properties of IPV4 and IPV6 states the ip addresses & dns servers are obtained automatically)


sometimes FIREFOX can't connect because I am unable to connect to proxy server.
in IE, I did not check any boxes under LAN settings.

in firefox I've checked no proxy.

this is driving me crazy!! do let me know if you need any more info.

I'll try to help.If you have the network icon in the system tray right click it, go to Network and sharing center,on the right side ,click on View Status,
Diagnose.
