Pc Cannot Recognize Hard drive After Turning On

Hello.
I have a computer that one day, would not recognize my hard drive and wouldn't load the OS until I ran Diagnostics. When I ran it, it would say that the Boot path had a BIOHD-2 Error, but when it rebooted, I could get to Windows fine.

Then, I'd put my pc in sleep mode. A BSOD would happen and force a restart on my pc. Since that happened, I'd removed Norton's and gotten another anti-virus.
One time, however, my pc made a force restart and failed to load to the OS again. At that time, I'd try to run Diagnostics. Sometimes, the Boot path would have an error, other times, the hard drive would have one, a few time, the hard drive wasn't recognizable, but it still wouldn't load to the OS.

After three days of leaving it alone, I decide to try and turn my pc back on one more time, and it finally came back on.

The problem is now I can't turn it off or put it in sleep mode without worrying about it crashing and not loading to the OS. I can restart it without any problems, however. I've had it on for almost a week now. No problems.

I'd like to know what this problem is. It hasn't really been resolved and I'm wondering whether or not I should just get a new pc.

I have a HP Compaq CQ5110Y with and AMD Anthlon 7550 Dual-Core Proccesor with Window Vista Home Premuin 32-bit.

Also, I let someone take a look at my pc. Said that it might be a virus on my pc, but I ran an anti-virus scan (I have AVG) and nothing was detected.

Try to scan with Malwarebytes free version.
I only ever do a disc check at startup, so don't know if you want instructions for that.

Malwarebytes
The malware scan will run without a restart.

Hello Sorciechan,

It seems clear you are having issues with BSOD's.

Fortunately, there are a myriad a members here at Vista Forums that would be willing help resolve your problem.

If you can post your minidump file we will be able to diagnose it.

Here it is, I think.

I'd really like help with this.

Sorciechan,

I am currently learning how to debug BSOD's and will do what I can for you.

I was expecting another member to address your issue, but unfortunately, they have not.

I will get back to you as soon as I can.
