In trying to pinpoint why my computer hangs after 15 minutes of inactivity (and has for 3 weeks now), I ran the Microsoft Security Essentials (or virus program) and it stopped checking files at the following file:
windows\sysWOW64\uainstall.dll
It hung there, and the system also hung. I suspect that there's the problem, the file is probably corrupted. Ran a CHKDSK on the computer and asked it to repair corrupted files, and it hung also, probably there.
Problem is, I can't find the file "uainstall.dll" in that directory, nor does there seems to be any info on the Windows help sites on it. If corrupted, I need to know how to fix it, or if it's not needed, how to delete it. I don't know what it does is the problem.
I suspect the file is a Windows 64 bit issue only. Does anyone know what this file does, or how to fix?
Thanks.
