Unknown Device under USB controllers

Hello All

I have tried searching for this error although common but I cant find the solution. Kindly help me out with this.

When I start my laptop I get this balloon saying Unknown device found. In the Device Manager under USB Controllers I have a node with "Unknown device".

I tried uninstalling, disabling but nothing has worked so far. I have 4 usb drives on my laptop. I am attaching the screen shot from my device manager.
The location for this is : Port_#0002.Hub_#0003

just a footnote: my dvd light scribe stopped working 2-3 months back.
