Hello,
I've been having a problem with my computer where it says something about a file being corrupt and that I should run the chkdsk utility when I go to some random webpages. I attempted to run chkdsk in many different ways, namely all the ways here, but none of them have fixed my problem. I was never able to figure out how to run chkdsk at startup.
Also, I ran an sfc /scannow command, and it said that there were some files that could not be fixed. I did as shown here to view the CBS log, but the elevated command prompt merely started a new line and nothing else came up!
I have no experience with computer, and have probably learned more than I have ever known while looking up solutions to these problems. Sadly, I still haven't fixed them...
My specs are:
Windows Home Vista Premium 32-bit SP2
Model: ASUS Notebook N81Vg Series
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 4.00GB
Thanks!
