Help? Drag and Drop not working.

Hi everyone,
I'm unable to drag and drop anything. This problem started suddenly a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my touchpad or something with Vista. I have a Sony Vaio laptop and I'm using the built in touch pad. There are no other issues, clicking and scrolling works fine, but it will not "hold on" to anything. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I don't have another mouse available. I was thinking of just purchasing an external USB mouse, but wanted to see if it was a software issue first.

There is no way that I can make that determination, but maybe others can. I know if it were my machine, I would go out tomorrow for less than 15 dollars (American) get a mouse and try it out. Maybe, if you are on good terms with a merchant, they may even let you test one first. Good luck.
