Hi folks, i am having trouble updating, I get error code 80072efe, any suggestions, i have vista premium 32-bit, thanks

I have to thank you again richard,I went to the forum started at the top, took me all day,to go through the suggestions, even the microsoft support instructions, in the advanced instructions, nothing worked,then i was at the bottom of the list of the suggestions, when i came across kaspersky's rootkit killer freeware, and it worked, what a relief, I have avast and it didn't pick it up on this infection, makes me want to switch to kasperky's, attached is the site for kasperky's rootkit killer if anybody has the same problem, and again a big thanks to you richard.
(ps and i tipped the scales)
I just dont understand what these creeps get out of loading these infections

Thanks for the kind word and rep. To pay you back may I suggest the free Miscrosoft Security Essetials, for real time protection, malwarebytes for weekly scans and the Windows firewall. Use these with a little common sense you will be surfing like a pro. Take car and thanks for the words and rep.
