Sleep mode with internet connection?

Hi, I want to be able to have internet connection while my computer is in sleep mode. I want my computer to be able to receive emails and such while it's asleep. How do I do this?

Set nic card to wake.

Device manager
network adaptors click on arrow
click intel (etc)
general
change settings
power settings
check allow to wake.

Doesn't have "wake" feature.
