I installed a Windows Vista Ultimate Eternity in a partition. In another partition I have Vista Home Premium.
Accidentally somebody formatted the Drive with the Vista Ultimate files. Of course when you restart the computer you still get to choose between the two systems.
How do I completely erase the Vista Ultimate so the computer doesn’t ask again which OS to use?
It will help us to know what to tell you to do if you post a snip/screenshot of disk management, in the Vista start menu, right click computer, and select manage, in that window in the left pane click disk management and post a snip of the complete disk management so we can see it; have a look at the tutorial at the link below to see how to post a snip/screenshot here at Vista Forums.
Be Advised: do not do this to the C: drive, that's the one with the boot files on it!
In the Windows start menu search box type "msconfig" (without the quotes) then click the entry that appears, select the boot tab, left click to highlight the entry you want to remove and click delete, then apply; mine is grayed out as I'm only booting one OS at the moment.
Be sure to post back to keep us informed.
Once again: THANKS! Worked perfectly. Now I only need to resolve the issue of restoring the programs to the Start Menu and to the All Programs section of the Start Menu
