So I just found out about this folder and was looking into ways to clean it and how to keep it small. Mine is about 10GB and I was curious as to how large is normal for this folder. I know you can clean it by using compcln.exe but I ran that already (though I had to shutdown as everything stopped working while I was running it and everything was stuck for 3 hours) and now I cannot run it again. Bascially, I want to make sure it did its job so if 10GB or so is normal then I am going to keep it so I don't have to reinstall the whole system. My system was RTM, so it contains all updates from the very beginning, except for the service packs which I tried to delete with compcln and I am now running SP2.
