Hi,
I don't do this very often, as the hubby is more of a techie than I am... but he is unavailable right now to help me.
Have been having some issues with my Acer laptop; it was just getting really laggy, sometimes to the point of me having to turn off/on, reset. Late this morning, I tried turning it on -- it told me that Windows hadn't loaded properly and needed to run Startup Repair. Fine. Started doing that.
Unfortunately yesterday my computer started having another issue -- the laptop will only work when it's plugged in, if the cord comes loose then laptop shuts down completely (original cord disappeared - I have two kids - the working replacement is wonky and has to be in at the right angle to work but it was getting the job done.)
But irregardless, my youngest child kept climbing all over everything -- and bumped the cord while SR was completing its reboot cycle... now it won't complete at all. This is the message that I received:
StartupRepair cannot repair this computer automatically.

If you guys could help a girl out, I'd really appreciate it. If you guys can just get the lappy to load again for me, I'm pretty sure I can take it from there. Overall I am unhappy with the Acer (and so far, the Vista) experience, and I'm not very interested in purchasing another of either this laptop brand or this OS.
Thanks, Gents (and ladies), your help is sure appreciated,
Adie ~~~
PS - I am currently accessing the internet through the desktop in the hubby's shop; so I may not be able to respond immediately. But I do appreciate you taking the time to help me out! So thanks again!
