Solved HP Registration reminder won't stop!

Hi,I have a HP Pavilion DV6330 Laptop which I have recently performed a system recovery due to an unrelated problem.The system works fine now but I keep getting a message from HP to register on my screen,I've register three times and when I select the option of 'do not remind me any more'-the message keeps appearing,its so annoying does anyone have a solution please.Thanks:)

hi,I mean the message to register my HP product keeps appearing on my screen-even though I have registered or choose the options of 'remind me later' or 'do not remind me any more'-seriously its driving me nuts :)

There's a couple places it could be set to run the reminder, first have a look Option One in the tutorial at the link below to see if you find anything that could be it; if it's not there it may be in the "Task Scheduler" we'll look there next.

Hi BFK;

I tried option 1,there seemed only one obvious program to stop from the start up menu and after restarting the problem still persists:(

I have found the problem in the task scheduler-how do I stop a task from running?

Did you delete it from task scheduler? that was what I was going to suggest; good for you mate; thanks for the update. ;)

Remember, if you take your time and use the msconfig tutorial to trim the things that start when the PC is started up it may start up faster and have less issues; just do one item at a time with re-starts in-between.
