OK, so I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Used to watch DVDs all the time. But haven't for 4-5 months. Went to watch one last night and it wouldn't play.
CDs work, and data DVDs work, and I can even explore my DVDs. But they won't play. I spent hours searching Google last night, but my issue seems different than anyone else's. With almost every player I try, this is what happens. I try to play the disk, I hear it start to spin, then my whole screen goes black and the disk stops. It freezes my whole computer. (I have a Logitech G15 keyboard, and even the display on it freezes up). I checked my video drivers, and they are up to date. I even tried VLC, now this was different. VLC will load up the menu screen for the DVD, but then it freezes. At least with the VLC I can close it, my PC doesn't freeze up.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
