I have no external hard drive connected. I back up files 1x month with one, but it wasn't connected @ that moment.

Instructions to update your Itunes
Log on to the Internet.
Click on your "Start" menu and click on "Active Apple Software Update."
A box will open containing update options. Look for an "iTunes Update."
Click on the "iTunes Update" and click on "Install."
Allow the update to install and reboot your computer when the update is finished.
