Windows Media Player 11 - parameter incorrect

Hi everyone
i've a problem on the Windows Media Player ver 11 running on the vista OS SP2
which is whenever i click on the file that associated with WMP(e.g. mp3 file), it will display
the pathname of the file and follow by "parameter is incorrect" text...
so the file can't be play
but if i open the WMP manually and click on the mp3 file, then it can play...
anyone know how to solve this problem?
i can't remember when the program start to be like this...

It sounds like you may have a slightly corrupt registry. Please follow this tutorial for each of the file associations that is causing you problems. If you need one not listed, tell me, but you may have to bear with us for a bit as we have to make them. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/233243-default-file-type-associations-restore.html

I would also recommend downloading and reinstalling over the top (ie don't uninstall first) Windows Media Player 11. I will provide the link shortly.
