How To: Uninstall Ubuntu - Ubuntu Forums
Ed
if you forgot to shrink your vista partition, that measn that you did not make any un allocated space for ubuntu. so therefore all ubuntu could do to install itself, was to overwrite windows vista.
you dont even need to make a new partition, all you have to do is create unallocated space so ubuntu itself can fill up that unallocated space (making a new partition will be useless as ubuntu runs on ext3 or 4 and with a page file partition, which windows cannot create on its own, so therefore all you can do is give it unallocated space for ubuntu to install).
he overwrote his vista. now all his hdd has is ubuntu.
if he really is desperate i can give him a cracked ver of windows 7 rtm?
but if i did that, brink would ban me.
so the only thing left to do is, get used to ubuntu, ubuntu is ery versatile when combined with wine.
or
get out your recovery disc and rewrite ubuntu with a new copy of windows
or
buy a new windows cd and rewrite ubuntu.
but
ill have to talk to brink about the windows 7 rtm thing as you already had previously owned windows visa (which means you payed for it).
and
if you do get vista back, i can give you a guide on how to dual boot windows + ubuntu
