Logitech g15 keyboard causing Boot Manager to come up at start up

Recently my keyboard is causing the boot manager to come up at start up, i know this because i have tried unplugging it and it boots up fine but when i hook it back up the boot manager comes up. Recently i got mad and punched my keyboard and thats when the problem seemed to have started.

any help would be nice. thanks

Well, you could restore your keyboard to the state it was in before you punched it...

Don't quite understand what you mean by "boot manager".

Check in Device Manager and Event Viewer and see if there any errors showing relating to the keyboard.

What i mean by boot manager is that its wanting me to select my OS as if i had two os's on the harddrive, which i dont. i have no idea why this is happening

Does it show only the one OS? Can you boot OK when you select it?

take a screen shot of the boot manager part (with a camera) and upload it to us. Maybe a key is stuck.

the device manager shows everything is good. And yes on boot up it is only listing one OS. I'll get a picture once I get home from class. And I also noticed that I can't get the ? Character with the right shift key only the left.

Ok, go to start, run, type in msconfig

go to the bootup tab and put the timeout to a value of three. And also select your windows vista operating system as the default one.

Click ok and save and restart.

See if this works?

Yea i found thoes steps on another post and tried it and it hasnt fixed, i believe its something to do with the keyboard. i can take it apart and check the keys. but here are thoes pictures.

Then its your keyboard's problem. Try reinstalling your drivers. Make sure that your g15 keys arent stuck somehow. Try another g15 keyboard from a friend or something so we can rule out hardware malfunction.

You can always submit a ticket to logitech.
