16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem problem

I downloaded the game Jazz Jack Rabbit. I have Vista Home Premium 32bit but it wont run the game saying,

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

This system does not support fullscreen mode. Chose 'close' to terminate the application.

What does this mean can anyone help me run the program?

Download this app and install, you can then run the game.
When you are on their site there is a comprehensive "How to" which will provide all the user instructions.

DOSBox, an x86 emulator with DOS
