32GB of my data automatically beens deleted. I havent deleted any files or programs; basically ive havent deleted anythingas huge as 32 GB. i just turned on the computer and 32 GB was gone just like that. First i had 1GB free now ive got 32 GB. I have no idea where the files are gone or hows its been deleted. Could someone help me out there please? A huge thank you in advance.

This could be a couple of things:

Your recycle bin emptied itself somehow or

Your drive's failing.

If it's the first one (which I hope it is) then there's no need to worry.

Check through all your files and see if anything's missing and check the recycling bin to see if it's empty.

If it is the latter then hope is not lost yet.

Try using Recuva to see if it can find any of your lost files (Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download).

Run chkdsk (http://www.ehow.com/i/#article_2037270).

Post back with any results, discoveries or questions.

My guess would be that those are restore points (shadows) that were somehow deleted. Since you have shadow explorer, have a look whether there are any shadows left. Else you can also use the vssadmin command in cmd.
