Question For Vista User

Hello !

It's been a while since i last visited here. I have a good reason though. :p I moved on to Windows 7 and enjoyed it very much.

Well anyways, i have a few questions.

How much has vista changed since, say, a year ago? I've been on Win7 for almost a year now and i totally forgot the 'feel' of Vista. I asked cause I'm considering moving back to Vista due to compatibility issues that i cannot seem to resolve. And also, it's been over 6 months since my last format.

Is Vista much faster and reliable since a year back? I remember getting quite a number of BSOD when i last used Vista. Not sure if the latest SP and patches fixed most issues they had a while back ( maybe it's just me :p ).

Appreciate any comments.

I really think that based upon the way that you posed your question, there has been very little change. Vista will always be Vista. The big SP for Vista is called Windows 7. I do not think that you will see much in the way of enhancements, in the way that you mean. Good luck.

Maybe the 7 Forum members can help resolve some of the problems that you are having with 7.

Well, that's a bummer. I was quite prepared to move back to Vista but with little changes made, i'm not too sure if it's really worth it.

I'm registered in 7 forum and nobody could help me with my issue. Mostly because everyone could install them but i couldn't. I even had a few e-mail conversation with the tech guys from Sony ( i'm having issues with Sony Sound Forge ) and they couldn't help me as well.

Vista runs sweet with 2 Gig of ram Never had 1 BSOD I don't use Aero though its just flash not function. You might miss the Library option that is in 7. I tried both and prefer Vista.

A few hours after posting this topic, everything went wrong with my 11 month old Win7. I got a bunch of freezes, everything stopped working, i had to do a hard-reboot multiple times and i decided to ditch 7 and switch to Vista. I just spent the whole day yesterday installing Vista, hundreds of updates ( real old Vista DVD ), programs and migrating my files. So far, everything's looking good.

So i guess i'll be hanging out in this forum more now. ;)
