DVD drive not reading DVDs properly?

My DVD drive doesn't read DVD movies it seems... I bought Avatar and it can't read it, it only read it ONCE, and now it never reads it again. It sits there spinning and dying down, spinning, and making weird noises....

I use a little Isopropyl Alcohol on a cotton bud and clean the lens very carefully

    Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset. Only ever used a laptop. Also use USB Freeview TV Card Lenovo Docking Station External Speakers Other bits a pieces as needed
