Screen Saver Group Policy

I cannot get group policy to initiate the screensaver on one of our vista business sp1 machines. I've done extensive research and found only solutions that revolve around updating the HID-compliant mouse driver. Now, the machines we have do not use wireless mice and all of them are nearly identical. I've looked through the event viewer but cannot find any sort of task that comes from group policy that locks the machine. I did find eventID 124 "Task triggered by locking the workstation" but its not clear that this is coming from group policy. Regardless, the machine in question never has a log in the event viewer about this task.

I would love to provide anymore info I can for those that can help.

At this point I'm pretty much ruling out that its group policy's fault.

That just leaves the fact that the screen saver will not launch.

Anyone have any other ideas outside of the HID-compliant driver to resolve this issue?

Thanks!

IS this PC in a Domain? If it is you can you the Group Policy in the Domain to lock down the pc. I used the Domain Group Policy in my last job to lock down the student pc's.

Okay, so I know it is taking the group policy. I ran a gpresult /h and stored the info. Heres a screenshot. Also, these machines Vista Business SP1. Either the CIO does not want to go to SP2 or its not out for Vista Business so thats not really an option.

Any other ideas? Like I said, this group policy is deployed on plenty of other machines that are nearly identical. Something isn't allowing the screensaver to initiate.

Retired, as I mentioned, I no longer think this is GPO related. I posted a picture of the gpresult /h but apparently it was removed (just a guess.) Anyway, the issue has something to do with the screensaver not firing/initiating. The policy is in effect on the machine in question however, according to gpresult /h.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas outside of the aforementioned HID-compliant driver?
