I just installed Windows 7 today, from a Virtual Disc on my Vista partition. Everything went through smoothly, there were several restarts that went through, and suddenly "'BOOTMGR' is compressed, Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart."
I've researched a bit and found the solution is to repair the startup using the Vista disc. I have the Vista disc, but my disc drive is broken! I really don't have the money for a new one
(
What can I do? I was thinking maybe boot from USB but I don't know how to go about searching on Google for that, let alone doing it.
I have a Windows XP computer that's still functioning w/ a working DVD drive.
Thanks much for help in advance!
