Acer Laptop Troubleshoot

I have an Acer laptop.

When it heats up and gets hot. It completely shuts off.

is there a way to turn this off?

no software, viruses etc. it just shuts off

When it shuts down, it usually means that it is overheating. The last thing you want to do is to keep running. What are your temps?

you're right about that. But I'm doing work on it and it just shuts off.
how do i find the temps?
