Hey, I spent like 12 years on my desktop background, which I think is pretty clever, as you can see in the link, but as you can also see in the link, when I went to make the desktop icons large, so they would fit better, they become very ugly. As you can see, with most of these icons, not only is there some obnoxious box around them, but also the "shortcut" symbol, being in the far southwest of the icon, totally looks like ****.
Is there any way to navigate into some subsidary of the desktop appearance branch of the aptly named Personalize cellar of my computers rotting depths where I will find an "Ugly" box to uncheck, or anything like that? Basically, I want to keep the icons in large mode (as in the 4 that were actually made large because of this option) and my theme in classic, but I would like to make the icons look a lot better, as opposed to having these huge stupid boxes around them and preferably also rid them of these shortcut symbols. Anything to make these look the slightest bit better would be great, so any suggestions? Thanks.
