hi, can anyone help me, I have a Vista 32bit ServicePack 2 laptop, and it's giving me a headache when it comes to the synching of my ipod touch, i tried the whole reinstallation of itunes and its components, checked apple drivers, placed a check on the AUTOMATICALLY DETECT SETTINGS on my internet options, restarted my laptop but ,,man ,,,,nothing seems to work, My ipod touch 2nd gen 16 gB is still not recognized by my computer nor itunes, strange thing is, this vista laptop of mine and its iTunes recognize my sister in law's ipod nano. . so I went to Power mac Repair center and told one of the guy technicians about my ipod touch problem. The technician plugged my ipod touch into his macbook and it synched just fine. then he plugged in his ipod classic TO MY VISTA LAPTOP and it recognized his ipod. Next to me was a customer with an ipod touch and he plugged his ipod touch in my vista laptop but it did not recognize his ipod touch,, aww man,, i do not know what program is lacking in my vista laptop , Why is it not recognizing the ipod touch .,?
, at the time of this writing , my ipod touch is still with POwer mac repair center, they told me to give it maximum of three weeks, if they find out something wrong with my ipod touch (why it's not working with my vista), they will replace it( my ipod touch is still under warranty ). I can't help but feel negative about the replacement ipod touch, i don't think my laptop will recognize it, I'm so stressed. HELP! all the troubleshooting steps in support.apple.com DO NOT work.
