Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)

I am getting this error on pretty much all applications. I cannot open IE or Firefox, cannot run malwarebytes, iTunes, MS Office...Anything with *.exe extension.
I did try to do it in safemode as well, but still nothing. Can anyone help?

Also, I have tried to run as Admin with same results.

According to this link: Urgent - The application failed to initialize properly - 0xc0000005

You problem could be the Trojan "Haxdoor". It was suggested that AdAware could find and remove it.

Also suggested is to boot to safemode with networking and go to the Panda live scan web site: FREE ANTIVIRUS - Download ActiveScan 2.0 and clean your PC - PANDA SECURITY
and let Panda scan your computer and remove the Trojan.

Thank you. I did a sfc /scannow and it found & corrected some errors that allowed applications to open. I ran malwarebytes and it found & removed some things, but I will try the Panda Security as well. Thank you! Much, much appreciated.
