L632D ATA Device error code 19

oh please help, Cd player not working I have tried almost everything

have uninstalled - nothing, new drivers update error,
registry check to correct problems - paid for problems still exist

I have a huge meeting tomorrow, and my data is on my cd which was working about 1 month ago PLEASE PLEASE help

Can you copy the CD from another computer to a Flash Drive to get by with for tomorrow? After that we can give suggestions for Hardware Diagnostic tools to determine if your CD player is shot.

Hi Gil777t, no I live way out in the boonies, no other computer near me. I found a download code 19 fix, ha, suckered me in, had to pay and still no fix!
I don't have a drive specified, performed a "registry cure" still nothing, have uninstalled, rebooted now several times, I do get a message that the driver could not be installed,

yeah, I foundt the cure, went into the registry searched under classes until I found the one cd rom, deletted the limit, re-booted and low and behold there it is. Not bad for an old DOS programmer. same s just alot more of it! Thank you Barb

Way to go barb! The old days Of windows when we just about had to be programmers paid off. The same principles still apply today. Your one leg up on the rest. You can teach the new kids a thing or two .
