Thanks for the link, but that has only helped me change what I have circled with blue (in the image below) and not exactly what I am after - which is what I have marked out with the red rectangle.
Okay, I'm fairly sure you can change the Taskbar, and if you can, here's how you would do it: first, you have to set your theme to Windows Classic. (Thanks Sean! ) Right-click on your Desktop, and go to Personalize, Windows Color and Appearance, and select the Windows Classic theme. Then, on the Appearance screen select Advanced. On the Advanced page, open up the "Item" drop down menu and select the item that controls the Taskbar. I'm not entirely sure which one it is, but I think it is either "Menu," "Message Box," "Selected Items," "3D Objects," or "Windows." You'll have to try each one of them to see which one changes the font in the Taskbar. If it's anything but Windows or 3D Objects, all you have to do is select the font, font size, and font color you want and press OK. If it's Windows or 3D Items, the system does not offer an option to select the font on the Taskbar.
