Monitor goes black unexpectedly

I don't know if this is the right place to go for help, but I have a bit of a mystery on my hands.

Lately, my desktop computer monitor has been going black unexpectedly as if it was going asleep. The issue is not with connections or drivers as far as I can tell, it usually goes black when the mouse is moved. Talk about freaky, and it doesn't do this frequently either.

Feedback is appreciated.

I had a similar problem in which I discovered it was my display driver. Try to update your display driver if you can, or restore to an earlier point with system restore, and then update the driver.
