Hi there. My beta of Windows 7 ends this evening. I get a message saying that I need to backup my files and install a full windows 7 or another windows version.
I knew about this long time ago so I wasnt surpriced about that. But thats not a problem because I have my Windows Vista install disc that came with the computer.
I thought it would be wise to test it out. So I break the seal on the cover on Windows Vista and put it in my dvd-tray. I start up my computer (yes I have dvd driver as primary boot device) but nothing happens. I even remove my HDs in Bios completely as boot devices. But then nothing happens.
I then redo some stuff so I can start up at Windows 7 again to check the Vista DVD in Windows 7. I insert the disc. Nothing happens. All I get is a message that my DVD device is empty and I need to insert a disc. And my tray goes out.
Please help.
Only hope I have is that Windows 7 is blocking my Vista DVD for some reason. And it will work if I manage to completely format my HD, and my Vista DVD will work. I will not find that out before its too late.
Please help again /beg
