My gf is trying to upgrade her operating system from Vista Basic to Vista Home Premium and we are having an issue. It gets to the (C) Microsoft Coperation with a box above it with green color scrolling bars going around and around but thats the farthest it is going and will not boot up. What is the reason for this and any recommedations on solutions to this problem?

Have you tried booting up from the disk and doing a startup repair?
If that's not the case, something must've gone wrong in the installation.
