need help with an idea

anyone know if theres a way to completely wipe a user account off without having to log on and use the remove user account or without typing in a password? one of my friends put a password on my laptop while they were drunk and forgot it so i need to know cause i dont have a restore passwords disk and its longer than 14 digits, anyone know how to help me out?

Try Safe Mode. It is possible that you are locked out of Safe Mode too, but it is worth a try. (Repeatedly tap F8 as soon as your computer screen comes to the BIOS screen and tehn select Safe Mode) You may now be able to remove the password as in the link from Richc46.

i tried that but i was thinking was is there a way i could force it to delete an account by going into safe mode with command prompt

Hi,

I don't know what is wrong with the GUI, but

"net user {username} /delete"

should do the trick. Do not get the wrong username, and do not just put in {username}. It possibly will not work, and type "net user /?" for details.
